According to J. Allard the Xbox 360 guru, the decision to sell the Xbox in two configurations is pro consumer in regards to the Xbox 360 hard drive issue. It allows consumers to decide whether or not the hard drive is worth the extra cost.

Allard stated “You buy the Xbox 360 Core system, you can build up to the premium system and you won’t be left out of anything along the way,” showing that consumers have a better choice since those choosing to buy the core system can then decide if and when they would purchase the Xbox 360 hard drive.

The flexibility offered by having a choice of purchasing the Xbox 360 hard drive or adding it on at a later date is not normally associated with the consumer electronics market and shows Microsoft’s commitment to providing it’s customers a choice according to Allard.

Allard said “Consumers like choice, and it’s a very pro-consumer move on our part to say, ‘We’ve got two configurations of system that’ll be launching in Europe and if they’re not right, we have the flexibility to go and change it.”

All of the Xbox 360 games will be playable without the Xbox 360 hard drive. This promises the gamers who purchased just the core system will not be limited in the games that they play because of no Xbox 360 hard drive.

The Xbox 360 hard drive will contain pre-loaded specialized content. This content will be included in both the Xbox 360 Premium pack and the Xbox 360 hard drives that are purchased separately. The included content will include gamer content tiles which will allow gamers to personalize their Gamer Card by selecting one of the tiles to show as their icon when browsing Xbox Live. The custom sound track lets consumers test the Xbox 360’s audio capabilities. The video included on the Xbox 360 hard drive includes a track on “The Making of Xbox 360”. This will give people some insight on how this console was made and also showing off the video capabilities. The arcade game Hexic will give you and idea of the type of arcade games that will be available on Xbox Live. Hexic is created by Alexy Pajitnov, the original creator of Tetris. You know, one of the greatest games of all times. This game is very addictive and will keep you busy for the first two hours, before you even slip the first disk into the console.

Over all the content of the Xbox 360 hard drive is to give the consumer an understanding of what the capabilities of the game system are.

Part of the decision to offer consumers a choice of hard drive or no hard drive came because Microsoft was not willing to bear the costs of the hard drive as they did in 2001 with the Xbox. They had lost $4 billion on the original Xbox console.

Since Microsoft demands that games be able to play without a hard drive there are many game developers who are unhappy. This unhappiness is related to issues with streaming and caching. Allard tried to balance that problem out by stating. “from the developer point of view you have the best tools and the commitment of the most well-resourced company in the world going worldwide with this product and saying that we want to grow the audience. So that seems like a win for developers”.

But to many industry analysts and most hard core gamers, this hard drive issue is just a promotion ploy from Microsoft. A way to say the Xbox 360 only costs $300.00 when in reality the only package worth purchasing is $400.00. This is because to do any type of online functions or to save games you need to have either a hard drive or 64 MB memory card that can be purchased for $40.00. So if you purchase the core system you will eventually need to spend as much as or more than the Xbox 360 Premier Package. This makes the core system cost savings non existent or at the very least significantly less.

Xbox 360 hard drive or no hard drive the choice is yours but in all reality there is no choice. This may be why Microsoft predicts over 50% of the first launch consoles are the Xbox 360 Premier system.

The amazing technology cell phones have these days is surprisingly growing and developing.

Cell phones started out as an idea for a mobile phone that can be used from a car, within a given range. This was happening back in 1947. Since then, their purpose was achieved and greatly exceeded.

The mane comes from the word cellular combined with the normally used word, phone. Cellular because their whole technology is based on cells of signal. So, in the near future the cell phone might offer us a great surprise. How knows, they may try and develop some kind of holographic graphics. No matter what the next step is, the industry is certainly improving every minute, even as we speak and cell phones have a bright future ahead of them.

Headphones are great to use to listen to music, while watching television or viewing a movie, and when using your personal computer. There are thousands of applications where you can use headphones. Basically, a headphone has three parts: the driver, the earpiece and the attachment system. The driver is the ‘sound producer’. If you want to get rid of the outside noise and you just want to concentrate on the sound, there are noise-canceling variants that you can choose from.  The open-type headphones generally have better sound quality than the noise canceling type.

When it comes to the design of the headphones, then you can choose one that will best suit your application. Clip-on headphones do not have headbands, the earpiece can easily be attached to your ears. There are also wireless headphones that are available. Ear buds are made up of earpieces that can fit the inner part of your ear. Headsets combine the functionality of a microphone and an earphone. Street style headphones are best used for music-listening purposes. Ear pads have two flat pads as earpieces. With all the designs and brands available in the market now, you will surely find the type of headphones that will best suit your need and lifestyle.

Radiasi Elektromagnetik Ponsel Mempengaruhi Tulang

Perdebatan bahwa radiasi elektromagnetik yang dihasilkan oleh ponsel menyebabkan kanker dan kerusakan sel otak belum selesai, sekarang kekhawatiran akan berdampak negatif pada kesehatan sel tubuh pengguna telepon meningkat lagi. Sebuah studi baru-baru ini mengatakan, ponsel ini bisa menjadi pengaruh buruk pada pertumbuhan tulang pengguna ponsel. Bagaimana bisa?

Dr Fernando Sravi dari Universitas Nasional Cuyo, Argentina, mengatakan penelitiannya menunjukkan bahwa radiasi elektromagnetik dari ponsel dapat mengurangi kepadatan tulang. Penelitian mengenai pengaruh radiasi ponsel pada tulang sebenarnya telah dilakukan beberapa peneliti sebelumnya. Tapi, Sravi menjelaskan lebih rinci tentang hal itu.

Dalam studinya, ditemukan bahwa pria yang teratur meletakkan ponsel di sekitar pinggang ke kanan, penurunan kandungan mineral dalam tulang (Bone Mineral Content / BMC) dan kepadatan mineral pada tulang (Bone Mineral Density / BMD) di pinggul kanan mereka.

Sravi mengukur tingkat BMC dan BMD di pinggang kiri dan kanan dua kelompok pria sehat. Kelompok pertama terdiri dari 24 peserta yang tidak menggunakan telepon selular. Sementara kelompok kedua, terdiri dari 24 orang yang memiliki kebiasaan menempatkan di tempat handphone yang terpasang di pinggang.

Akibatnya, tingkat rata-rata dan BMC/BMD antara dua kelompok tidak berbeda terlalu banyak. Namun Sravi memberikan catatan, seorang pria yang tidak menggunakan ponsel, masih terdapat BMC tingkat tinggi di tulang paha atas.

Sementara kelompok pengguna ponsel, ada perbedaan dalam tingkat BMC pada tulang paha kiri dan kanan atas mereka, di mana kepadatan tulang berkurang dibagian pinggang yang menjadi tempat meletakkan telepon selular.

Sravi juga menemukan korelasi antara penurunan kepadatan tulang dengan waktu yang lebih lama dihabiskan di dekat pinggang peserta yang sering menempatkan ponsel mereka di bagian pinggang.

Agaknya, paparan radiasi elektromagnetik dari telepon selular dalam jangka panjang, memungkinkan juga dapat mempengaruhi mineralisasi tulang. Tapi untuk yang satu ini Sravi belum terlalu yakin, itu memerlukan penelitian lebih lanjut.

Tak lupa, catatan Sravi bahwa tes ini akan sangat baik jika dilakukan pada wanita yang lebih rentan terkena dan beresiko osteporosis lebih tinggi, dan pada anak-anak yang sekarang lebih sering terkena radiasi ponsel.

Versi Terbaru Software Arrives Untuk iPad

Apple merilis versi terbaru dari sistem operasi bebas iPad pada hari senin pagi dan memperkenalkan memperkenalkan beberapa fitur baru, termasuk yang sudah pada iPhone dan iPod Touch.

versi terbaru tersebut yaitu IOS 4.2, yang diharapkan sebelum akhir tahun setelah Steven P. Jobs, CEO Apple, mengumumkan fitur baru tersebut di sebuah acara peluncuran produk dan fitur terbaru Apple awal tahun.

Fitur lain yang disertakan dalam update terbaru adalah produk yang disebut AirPrint yang menawarkan kemampuan untuk mencetak file nirkabel ke beberapa jenis printer yang mendukung fitur ini. Apple telah mengatakan pada awalnya Hewlett Packard akan menawarkan serangkaian printer AirPrint, tapi merek lain diharapkan tahun depan sudah mampu untuk di fungsikan.

AirPrint dimaksudkan menjadi sangat mudah digunakan: sekali perangkat telah dipasangkan dengan printer, pengguna cukup menekan sebuah foto di layar tombol cetak dan cetak, PDF atau e-mail dengan nirkabel. Tanpa harus mendownload dan menginstal drivernya.

Bagi penggemar Apple ada fitur terbaru yaitu Apple TV, IOS baru mendukung fitur yang disebut Airplay yang akan memungkinkan seseorang untuk melakukan streaming konten nirkabel di iPad untuk menikmati tayangan televisi. Fitur ini, dapat mengirimkan foto berkualitas tinggi, video atau musik ke Apple TV menggunakan koneksi Wi-Fi.

Apple juga menambahkan fitur baru dan dukungan dokumen suite produk pengolah kata, yang meliputi Halaman, Bilangan dan Keynote. Semua fitur terbaru dan update akan tersedia untuk iPads melalui toko iTunes.

iPad saat ini sudahy sangat sukses sejak diluncurkan awal tahun. Menurut laporan keuangan terbaru Apple, perusahaan telah menjual lebih dari 7,5 juta perangkat saat mulai dijual pada bulan April. Apple diperkirakan akan terus mencatat penjualan yang akan semakin tinggi selama musim liburan.
